SQA Lead Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated, self starter to join our San Jose based quality assurance team, as a Lead SQA Engineer, to assess the suitability of different test platforms (Open Source, 3rd Party, Home Grown) for cost, ease of integration, script development, and maintenance; design complete solutions to test components, subsystems, and entire products.
Create accurate program schedules for producing testing solutions; lead the implementation of these solutions, including system setup, integration, scripting, and results analysis; provide mentoring and training to other team members; and continue assessment of new and emerging testing technologies and tools.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Education

   4+ years software automation test development
     
   BS in Computer Science
     
   Demonstrated ability to design and implement complete systems
     
   3+ years Quality Assurance testing
     
   Excellent organization skills
     
   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
     
  Knowledge of defect tracking and release management
     
  Superior problem analysis and solving skills with the ability to deal with large complex systems
     
  Proven decision making skills
 

 

Additional Preferred Skills and Experience, but not essential

  

Television delivery architectures

     
   IP and RF networking
     
   Knowledge of MPEG, MPEG analyzers, and streaming protocols
     
   Cable headend equipment – QAM, DAC, DNCS, STB (SA/MOT/IP)
     
   Web-based scripting technologies such as XML or JavaScript
     
   Windows and Linux
